From an interview with Malke for kids and parents over at Bedtime Math!
"When you make math and dance at the same time you obviously use and strengthen geometric and spatial reasoning skills. In percussive dance there’s also pattern building, recognition and analysis which is also a big part of mathematical thinking. And a really important part of both dance and math is attitude: don’t be afraid to challenge yourself to try new things. It’s fun to play around with ideas, whether it be in dance or math!"
